Research
At the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, we feel that we cannot limit ourselves to simply preserving and promoting maritime heritage; research on maritime culture and history is also part of our mission. As a result, the Museum promotes its own research projects, and gives research support to individuals and institutions with similar interests.

Awards
For over 15 years, the Maritime Museum of Barcelona has distributed a series of grants and awards to promote research on maritime culture and history. The Museum currently gives out two annual research awards.

Since 1989, the Maritime Museum of Barcelona has published Drassana magazine, one of its main tools for communication and promotion. Published annually, this magazine has gone through three different periods in terms of its design and objectives.
